Celebrate Cocktail Friday with Cristen's Shaken NOT Blended Piña Colada on the Rocks!

It's another #CocktailFriday, and with temperatures rising and summer days quickly on their way, what better cocktail to sip on in the sunshine, beachside or poolside, than my take on a shaken NOT blended Piña Colada on the rocks! This refreshing twist on a classic tropical drink is perfect for cooling off!

And, yes, you can still make this virgin by simply holding the rum! I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do. It's one of those cocktails that brings me back to my trips to the Caribbean!

Cristen's Shaken NOT Blended Piña Colada on the Rocks

(Makes one cocktail)

Ingredients:

2 oz. White Rum

2 oz. Pineapple Juice

1 oz. Coconut Milk

1 oz. Cream of Coconut

2-3 Dashes of Angostura Bitters

A Dash of Nutmeg

1 Luxardo Cherry

1 Pineapple Leaf

Ice

Directions:

  1. Place the rum, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, coconut milk, bitters, and ice in a shaker.

  2. Shake vigorously for a minute or two.

  3. Pour over an ice-filled glass, top with a dash of nutmeg, and garnish with a Luxardo cherry and pineapple leaf.
